If your license includes the ability to create custom dashboards, you can easily deploy custom dashboard templates to DTP (see Upgrading DTP from Standard to Enterprise Edition). When custom dashboard template has been created and deployed, users can choose them from the Create dashboard from the template drop-down menu (see Adding Dashboards). You do not need to stop DTP services to deploy custom templates.
