Test Failure Classifications
Test failure classification streamlines the debugging process by grouping failures with similar root causes. When you label failed tests, a machine learning model learns from those patterns to automatically classify future failures. This reduces repetitive triage work, speeds up investigations, and helps teams focus on fixing the most impactful issues. DTP now includes three new widgets and two new reports related to test failure classification.

Licenses with Automation Feature
Starting with version 2025.2, automation licenses will be granted only to tools that explicitly request the automation feature. This prevents desktop instances from consuming tokens intended for automation use. Both the Parasoft tool and License Server must be version 2025.2 or later for this behavior to take effect. See Types of Licenses for more information.
View API coverage from SOAtest in DTP
To provide you with increased visibility into how well your tests cover resources and operations, you can now view coverage results generated by SOAtest API Coverage tests in DTP with the SOAtest API Coverage Overview widget.
Coverage Image Patterns
You can now configure include and exclude patterns that help associate the project with the appropriate coverage images. This is useful when you are associating coverage images with filters. When doing so, all coverage images are shown in the selection menus by default, and if you have a lot of coverage images this can make finding the one you want difficult. By configuring include and/or exclude patterns for coverage images in your project, you have the ability to limit the coverage images shown to just those that are appropriate for the project.

- Updated licenseserver/usage API to support filtering license usage by license.
- Two new License Server settings have been added:
- Restrict access to automation licenses: When enabled, License Server will deny access to licenses with automation features unless those features are explicitly requested. This setting is enabled by default.
- Delete contributing developers usage data older than one year: When enabled, License Server will automatically delete contributing developer usage data sent from Parasoft C/C++test CT and Parasoft C/C++test Standard after one year. This setting is enabled by default.
- In addition, the License Server setting "Grant license token to login username" is now enabled by default in new installations. Users upgrading to 2025.2 will have their current setting preserved.
- DTP now includes an MCP server endpoint so you can configure AI-powered code editing tools like Copilot and Windsurf to use DTP directly.
- Floating licenses have been relabeled as "concurrent" licenses. No functionality has changed.
- DTP users with an LLM Integration license can now access Parasoft Intelligent Digital Assistance (IDA) from the Help menu in DTP. The Parasoft IDA is an LLM-powered chatbot, trained on product documentation and knowledge base, designed to answer your questions about DTP.
- When configuring test configurations, you can choose the categories you want to see in the rules table. Built-in (Parasoft) and industry standard categories are available.
- You can now calculate CVE match for C/C++test violations.
