Windows Installation

To install the C/C++test Eclipse plugin into DS-5 on Windows:

  1. Run the C/C++test plugin installation executable.
  2. Click Yes when prompted to to install C/C++test.
  3. Choose the ARM DS-5 IDE as the plugin base IDE, then click Next.
  4. Enter your DS-5 installation directory, then click OK. The typical installation location is c:\\Program Files\\ARM.
  5. Enter the desired destination directory for the C/C++test extension files, then click Next.
  6. Close DS-5 if it is open. C/C++test will then start copying files and installing the necessary files into the workbench. When the installation is complete, a notification dialog box will open.

During the installation process, C++test will try to create a link file in ARM’s embedded Eclipse. This file will contain the path to the C/C++test installation directory.

After the plugin is successfully installed, you can start DS-5 (with the C/C++test plugin installed) by launching it in the usual manner.

A C/C++test perspective will be available (see The C++test Perspective).
