To configure and provision an environment in a specific state:

  1. Open the environment; for example:
    • Select it from the system tree.
    • Search for the desired environment.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Manually configure the available components with the desired component instances.
       
    • Select an environment instance that will set all components to a preconfigured state.


       
  3. Click the Provision button.
     

This sets each environment component to the state specified in its component instance. Components will remain in this state until they are changed (from CTP or from Virtualize).

Saving a Snapshot of Your Configuration

To save a "snapshot" of a particular combination of component instances and/or make a saved snapshot live, create an environment instance as described in Using Environment Instances.

Configuring Your AUT

To ensure that your AUT properly accesses any virtual assets, message proxies, and JDBC controllers you have provisioned, be sure to make the adjustments described in Configuring the AUT to Work with Provisioned Assets,
