For information on how to record the traffic that passes through a proxy (so that you can virtualize that traffic), see Recording Traffic from Message Proxies.

After a message proxy has been configured and enabled, you can use it to record traffic between your client and AUT.

  1. Configure your client to point to the message proxy. If you are configuring a REST Client, for example, enter the incoming Proxy URL into the URL field under the Resource tab.

  3. Execute the scenario.
  4. Stop recording by clicking the Stop Recording icon in the proxy's configuration tab or by right-click the proxy in the server view and choosing Stop Recording.

The traffic file will be saved to the location specified in the Traffic file field of the message proxy configuration.
