The Parasoft SOAtest and Virtualize Server WAR file is a lightweight server that hosts service virtualization assets created in the Virtualize desktop or in Continuous Testing Platform (CTP) and executes tests created in the SOAtest desktop or CTP. You can schedule multiple test execution jobs and the SOAtest and Virtualize WAR server will run up to four of them in parallel (based on the number of CPU cores). Additionally, when enabled through the REST API, a single job will run TST files in parallel.
If you are collecting application coverage during execution of your tests, then multiuser mode must be enabled in the coverage agent; see Application Coverage for information about enabling multiuser coverage mode. Also note that some tools cannot be run in parallel, including the Penetration Testing Tool and the Browser Playback Tool run with Safari; attempting to run these tools in parallel will generate an error message.
The server architecture is designed to provide a smaller memory footprint for higher performance of individual servers, as well as to let organizations take advantage of standardized application deployment infrastructures for availability, clustering, and scalability. It is designed to be deployed within containers such as Docker.
This server is distributed as a Web application ARchive (WAR) and can be deployed to any certified servlet container. Workspace/project data sources and Eclipse variables in virtual asset files are not supported in this server.
