The JSON Files Responder simplifies the correlation between JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) request and response messages by allowing users to specify a directory of request/response files that have a one-to-one relationship based on the file's naming. The Responder uses the contents from the response file to reply back to incoming request messages that match the contents of the request file. Additional matching criteria can be applied under Responder Correlation or Data Source Correlation.
You can create a JSON Files Responder tool directly from the Add Responder wizards. This responder is preconfigured as follows:
Setting | Configuration |
---|---|
Definition tab > Service Definition | None |
Response tab > Input Mode | Request/Response Files |
Options tab > Request Handling > Convert incoming request to XML before applying responder correlation | Enabled |
All of the available configuration options for this type of message responder are covered in Message Responder Overview.
