The ability to send MIME and DIME attachments is deprecated and will be removed in a future version.
Many Web Services employ attachments to send and receive data that is not well represented with XML messages, such as multimedia binary data. SOAtest can be used to send and receive attachments along with SOAP messages. Received attachments can then be processed and validated for correctness.
The SOAP Client tool can be configured to send MIME, DIME, and MTOM attachments along with the request SOAP message. For more information, see Misc Options.
The Attachment Handler tool can be used in conjunction with a SOAP Client to extract and validate incoming attachments from a response SOAP message. For more information on configuring the Attachment Handler tool, see Attachment Handler.
