RuleWizard’s menu bar contains options for customizing RuleWizard preferences, creating rules, and customizing the RuleWizard GUI. Available options in the menu bar are detailed below:
File Menu
The File menu contains the following commands:
- New: Opens the New File panel from which you can create a new rule as described in Building a Rule Overview.
- Open: Opens a previously saved rule.
- Close: Closes the current rule.
- Save: Saves the current rule
- Save As: Saves the current rule and allows you to specify the rule name and location.
- Close Dictionary: Closes the current dictionary and all related settings.
- Recent Files: Opens shortcut menu of recently opened rules.
- Customize Preferences: Opens the RuleWizard Preferences panel, which allows you to customize such RuleWizard options as rule file enabling and default browser selection. The RuleWizard Preferences panel is described in Preferences Panel.
- Save Preferences: Saves the current RuleWizard Preferences.
- Print: Prints the results that are currently open in your Results panel.
- Print Preview: Lets you preview and modify how your results will be printed.
- Exit: Closes RuleWizard. Any rules that were open will be saved as you exit.
View Menu
The View menu contains the following commands:
- Show/Hide file viewer: Displays/hides the file tab.
- Show/Hide messages: Displays/hides the Messages panel.
Window Menu
The Window menu contains the following commands:
- Close: Closes the current active window in the Results panel.
- Close All: Closes all active windows in the Results panel.
- [rule name]: Opens the corresponding rule.
- Windows: Opens the Windows dialog box from which you can show, save, or close the selected window.
Help Menu
The Help menu contains the following commands:
- Documentation: Displays the RuleWizard User's Guide.
- About: Displays RuleWizard's version number.
