System Requirements
This section will help you verify that your system meets the minimum requirements for using Jtest.
Windows 64-bit
- Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2022
- 4GB memory minimum, 8GB recommended*
- 2GHz or faster processor (x86_64-compatible), multi-CPU configuration recommended
Linux 64-bit
- Linux with glibc 2.12 (or newer)
- 4GB memory minimum, 8GB recommended*
- 2GHz or faster processor (x86_64-compatible), multi-CPU configuration recommended
Mac OS X 64-bit
- OS X 10.14 Mojave - 13.5 Ventura
- 4GB memory minimum, 8GB recommended*
- 2GHz or faster processor (x86_64-compatible or Mac Silicon M1/M2 chip), multi-CPU configuration recommended
* Jtest may allocate up to 2GB RAM for the Java Virtual Machine process. You can change memory allocation for the JVM pro-cess in the <INSTALL_DIR>/etc/jtestcli.jvm configuration file (-Xmx option).
IDE Integration
Parasoft Jtest can analyze locally buildable projects in your IDE (multi-module projects must be built before analysis). This section describes the requirements to import and work with findings in an IDE. To perform code analysis, ensure that your system meets the minimum system requirements.

Performing code analysis in IntelliJ IDEA requires the following IntelliJ bundled plugins to be enabled: Maven, Gradle, Coverage

Java Requirement
Jtest requires a Java version between 11 and 21 to be installed on your machine both to run in an IDE and for build system integration. Both OpenJDK and Oracle Java SE are supported. Other free and open source implementations may cause issues with the proper functioning of Jtest.

DTP Integration
If you connect your Jtest instance to DTP, ensure that the DTP version you're connecting to supports your Jtest version. See Parasoft Product Cross-compatibility.
Support for Java
Jtest can analyze and test code compliant with Java 21 or earlier.
IP Address Formats
IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.
