Some test configuration management actions, such as duplicating test configurations created by other users, require administration permission (see User Administration). Additionally, users with basic permissions can perform management actions on test configurations they own (see About Test Configuration Access).
Uploading a Test Configuration
- Click the upload icon.
- Browse for and select your configuration file when prompted.
Enter a name for the configuration and click Upload.
The new test configuration file is added to DTP and can be distributed to DTP Engines users. See Editing Test Configurations for information on enabling and disabling rules or changing other configuration properties.
Duplicating Test Configurations
You can quickly create new test configurations by duplicating and editing an existing configuration. Users with basic permissions can only duplicate the test configurations they own.
- Click the duplicate icon.
- Enter a name for the duplicate configuration when prompted and click Save.
The duplicate test configuration file is added to DTP and can be distributed to DTP Engines users. See Editing Test Configurations for information on enabling and disabling rules or changing other configuration properties.
Creating New Test Configurations
You can add new test configuration directly in the Test Configuration management page using the options that ship with DTP. To create highly customized configurations, refer to the DTP Engines documentation.
- Click the new test configuration icon.
- Enter a name and click Save when prompted.
- Configure the options and rules (see Editing Test Configurations) and click Save.
Deleting Test Configurations
Users with basic permissions can only delete the test configurations they own.
- Click on a test configuration and click the delete button.
- Confirm that you want to delete the test configuration when prompted.
Downloading Test Configurations
Click on a test configuration and click the download button.
