If you are currently running Concerto or a previous version of DTP, you will need to shut down DTP services before proceeding with the configuration process. If you are using Concerto (version 4.x or earlier), see Stopping Concerto Services.

Windows

  1. Open the Start menu and choose Parasoft> DTP.
  2. Right-click Stop DTP Server and choose Run as administrator from the contextual menu.
  3. Confirm that you want to stop the service when prompted.
  4. Repeat the process to stop the Data Collector Service and for the Parasoft Database Service if your installation includes the embedded database server.

Linux

  1. Navigate to the DTP_HOME directory and run dtpconsole.sh
  2. Enter 1 at the console prompt to choose DTP Server.
  3. Enter 1 to stop the service.
  4. Enter q after the service has stopped to return to the main menu.
  5. Enter 2 at the main menu to repeat the process for Data Collector.
  6. Proceed to the next step if your DTP installation that includes the embedded database server or enter 3 at the main menu to confirm that the services have been stopped.
  7. Enter 4 at the console prompt to choose database configuration.
  8. Enter 1 to stop the service.
  9. Enter q after the service has stopped to return to the main menu.
  10. Enter 3 at the main menu to confirm that the services have been stopped.
