Enterprise Pack requires a running MongoDB instance (8.x is recommended). You can deploy MongoDB on Linux or Windows or run it in a Docker container.

This section provides a quick start guide and is not intended to cover all installation and configuration options. For complete instructions and additional information, see the official MongoDB documentation (https://www.mongodb.com/docs/manual/installation/).

Linux

  1. Download MongoDB for your Linux distribution from the MongoDB Community Server download page (https://www.mongodb.com/try/download/community).
  2. Install MongoDB by following the instructions for your Linux distribution.
  3. Configure authentication as needed and start the MongoDB service.
  4. Verify that MongoDB is running and configure Enterprise Pack to connect to the instance.

For detailed instructions, see the MongoDB installation documentation (https://www.mongodb.com/docs/manual/installation/).

Windows

  1. Download MongoDB for Windows from the MongoDB Community Server download page (https://www.mongodb.com/try/download/community).
  2. Run the installer and follow the installation instructions.
  3. Configure authentication as needed and start the MongoDB service.
  4. Verify that MongoDB is running and configure Enterprise Pack to connect to the instance.

For detailed instructions, see the MongoDB installation documentation (https://www.mongodb.com/docs/manual/installation/).

Docker

  1. Obtain a MongoDB image from the MongoDB Community Server Docker repository (https://hub.docker.com/r/mongodb/mongodb-community-server).
  2. Create and start a MongoDB container. Configure the required ports, persistent storage, and authentication settings.
  3. Verify that MongoDB is running and accessible from Enterprise Pack.
  4. Configure Enterprise Pack to connect to the MongoDB instance.

For detailed instructions, see the MongoDB Docker installation documentation (https://www.mongodb.com/docs/manual/installation/).

Ensure that MongoDB data is stored persistently so that it is preserved when the container is stopped, removed, or recreated.
