Enhancements

Cumulative Build Enhancements

• New: Impacted status for tests
  • Added the Impacted status for tests identified by Test Impact Analysis, alongside Passed, Failed, and Incomplete statuses.
  • Updated widgets and explorers to display the Impacted status.

• Changed: Set of cumulative builds per project
  • Expanded cumulative build support to allow multiple cumulative builds per project, rather than a single cumulative build.
  • Enables tracking trends in test results, coverage, and impacted tests over time.
  • Enables viewing test results, coverage, and impacted tests as they existed at previous points in time.

MCP Server Endpoint for Coverage

• Enables large language models (LLMs) and AI-powered coding assistants that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP), such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot, to connect directly to DTP (introduced in DTP 2025.2).
• Enables AI clients to retrieve coverage information and leverage opportunities to add tests that improve coverage.
• New coverage tools:
  • getCoverage: Returns coverage information for a given filter and build.
    • Summary mode returns a coverage summary.
    • Detailed mode returns file-level coverage details, including uncovered lines.
  • getModifiedCodeCoverage: Returns coverage information for modified code by comparing a target build with a baseline build.
    • Supports summary and detailed modes.

Important Notes for New Installs 

Extension Designer

Extension Designer no longer includes an embedded MongoDB instance. You must provide a MongoDB instance and configure Extension Designer to connect to it.

Important Notes for Upgrades

Extension Designer

Extension Designer no longer includes an embedded MongoDB instance. When upgrading an existing installation:

1. Deploy a MongoDB instance.
2. Use Parasoft's MongoDB Migration Utility (available on the Parasoft Marketplace) to migrate your existing MongoDB data to the new instance.
3. Configure Extension Designer to connect to the new instance.

Database Updator 320

This update modifies the RUN database table. For databases with a large number of runs, this may take some time (on the order of minutes) to complete.

Other Notes

• Database Support:
  • Added support for MySQL 9.7, Oracle 26ai, and PostgreSQL 19.
  • Ended support for MySQL 8.0.
• Added Rust syntax highlighting in the Source Code Viewer in Explorers.
• Coverage widgets and Coverage Explorer now indicate when files or methods have no coverable lines.
  
• DTP now includes the encodepass script for encrypting passwords.
  
• The default number of builds has been changed to 10 in Build Details Settings.
