If you encounter an error message displayed on a Traceability widget (that is, a widget that shows data from an external system) and need more information about the underlying problem, there are a couple ways to get it.
Test the Connection
An administrator can test Parasoft DTP's connection to the integrated external system in the Report Center settings.
- From the system menu (gear icon), choose Report Center Settings.
- Click External System and review the configuration to your external system.
- If you see an issue with your settings, click Edit Settings and correct it.
- Click Test Connection. If the connection is working correctly, a message will appear in bottom-right of the screen. If there is an issue, an error message will appear that can provide more information for you to troubleshoot.
Review the Logs
You can review the logs for more information about the connection issue, especially the rs.log file. See Viewing Log Files for more information about reviewing logs.
