Choose Management> View Supported Tools to view the tools database, which contains the tools and versions currently supported by the licenses. 

 

Updating the Tools Database

If you want to upgrade licenses for the Parasoft products deployed in your organization, your instance of DTP may not support the licenses because it was released prior to the product you are upgrading. Rather than requiring an update DTP, you can update the tools database, which retrieves the latest product versions from the Parasoft website.  

  1. Click the Update Tools Database and choose one of the following options:
    • Update from remote server: Choose this option to query the license file on Parasoft servers.
    • Update from file: Choose this option to browse for the license file sent by your Parasoft representative. Use this option if you are unable to access a server outside of your network.
  2. Click Update.

If the new license is already supported in DTP, the following message will appear, indicating the the database is already in sync the product versions from the Parasoft website:

"Old and new tools databases are the same. Not updated."
