This section will help you verify that your system meets the requirements for using C/C++test Standard.

Windows 32-bit

  • Windows 7, Windows 8

  • 4GB memory minimum*

  • GHz or faster processor (x86-compatible), multi-CPU configuration recommended

  • Supported C / C++ compiler

Windows 64-bit

  • Windows 7 (x64), Windows 8 (x64), Windows 10, Windows 2008 Server (x64), Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016
  • 4GB memory minimum, 8GB recommended*
  • 2GHz or faster processor (x86_64-compatible), multi-CPU configuration recommended
  • Supported C / C++ compiler

Linux 32-bit

  • Linux with glibc 2.12 (or newer)
  • 4GB memory minimum*
  • 2GHz or faster processor (x86-compatible), multi-CPU configuration recommended
  • Supported C / C++ compiler

Linux 64-bit

  • Linux with glibc 2.12 (or newer)
  • 4GB memory minimum, 8GB recommended*
  • 2GHz or faster processor (x86_64-compatible), multi-CPU configuration recommended
  • Supported C / C++ compiler
*C/C++test  may allocate up to 1GB RAM on 32-bit machines or up to 2GB RAM on 64-bit machines for the Java Virtual Machine process. You can change memory allocation for the JVM process in the [INSTALL_DIR]/etc/cpptestcli.jvm configuration file (-Xmx option). When running an analysis, C/C++test’s native code analyzers will require additional memory, depending on the test configuration parameters.
