The Parasoft DTP Plugin and the Parasoft DTP Plugin forC/C++ allow you to work with Parasoft DTP Engine from your IDE. This gives you an interface to perform several functions:

  • Running local static code analysis, such as:

    pattern-based analysis

    flow-based analysis

    code duplication analysis

    metrics analysis

  • Viewing and interacting with analysis findings
  • Setting test configurations
  • Importing findings from DTP server or an XML file
  • Importing unit testing coverage from DTP or an XML file

The Desktop User Guide covers functions and settings available to C/C++test Desktop users. For information about integrating DTP Engine with your build tools and deployment on a server, see Automation User Guide.

You can use C/C++test within Eclipse and Visual Studio IDEs. Except for the installation section, the screenshots in this manual are examples for Eclipse.
