This topic explains how to use SOAtest’s Response Validation wizard to quickly add an XML Validator to verify conformance of the incoming response to any XML Schemas that it is bound to.
To configure SOAtest to validate the structure of an incoming response message:
- Right-click the appropriate test suite or test nodes, then choose Create/Update Regression Control from the shortcut menu.
- In the Response Validation wizard that opens, select Validate XML Response, then click Finish.
An XML Validator tool will then be configured and chained to the test. For details on this tool, see XML Validator.
