Parasoft code analysis and test execution tools ship with a broad set of static analysis rules that can be used in your test configurations, but you can customize how rules are applied to meet your software quality and compliance objectives. DTP uses the concept of rule maps to help you change the basic properties of existing static analysis rules, such as name, severity, category, and ID. Rule maps also enable you to implement custom rules that you may have created using Parasoft Rule Wizard. You can define and store rule maps in DTP and associate them with test configurations executed by the analysis tool.
