This user guide contains information on how to use 

- an integrated development testing solution designed to help you improve software quality. The guide consist of two core parts:

• Automation User Guide - covers the core capabilities of the 

  C/C++test

  DTP Engine and provides information about integrating the tool with build systems, as well as deployment on a server.

• Desktop User Guide - provides instructions how to integrate 

  C/C++test

   with your IDE, and covers functions and settings available for desktop use.

  You can use C/C++test within Eclipse and Visual Studio IDEs. Except for the installation section, the screenshots in this manual are examples for Eclipse.

Conventions Used in this Guide

The following conventions have been used in this guide:

• [INSTALL_DIR] - Refers to your DTP Engine installation directory. The default name of this directory is 

  cpptest.
• tool - Refers to the Parasoft tool you are using: Jtest DTP Engine, C/C++test DTP Engine, or dotTEST DTP Engine
