There are two databases associated with DTP:
DTP Database | The DTP database introduced in DTP 5.0 stores user data and data associated with Report Center. The DTP database includes support for data from Parasoft DTP Engines for C/C++, Java, and .NET. All current DTP features use data stored in the DTP database. |
---|---|
GRS Database | The GRS database stores Project Center data, such as defects and enhancements, and plays an important role in DTP's predecessor, Concerto, as well as older versions of DTP. If you upgraded to Development Testing Platform from Parasoft Concerto and you still need access to Concerto data, you will need to make sure you are connected to the GRS database. You must configure the connection to the DTP database to take advantage of the features associated with those tools, as well as future features Parasoft will release for Development Testing Platform. |
Each DTP server should be connected to its own database to avoid data-related problems. |
You can upload XML report files generated by Parasoft code analysis tools directly to DTP.
You can add the Data Collector Diagnostics widget to your dashboard to verify that the report was uploaded to the database.
Check your report configuration settings if the widget returns a status error. See the DTP Engine documentation for details.
