This chapter describes how to add a widget to a dashboard. See Widgets for information about types of widgets, widget settings, and the data they display. Depending on your edition of DTP, you may have access to a limited set of widgets. See Installation Options.

  1. Click the add widget button.
  2. Choose a widget type and subtype. See Widgets for information about widget types and subtypes.
  3. Most widgets have the option to use the dashboard filters as parameters or set custom filters. Some widgets, such as iteration and defect widgets, have different or additional settings specific to the type of data they present.
  4. Click Create to add your widget.


Arranging Widgets

Click and drag widgets to rearrange them on your dashboard. Widgets will automatically snap to the dashboard grid (see About the Dashboard Grid).
