Overview

Penetration testing is critical to uncovering security holes in your application. With Parasoft SOAtest, you can take your existing API functional testing scenarios and create security tests, adding penetration testing into your automated CI process. Penetration Testing functionality requires that you have a SOAtest 2022.1 or higher server running and connected to CTP.

Adding a Penetration Testing Tool

Users can set up penetration testing tools directly in CTP.

  1. In the left pane, select the SOAP or REST client where you want the penetration testing tool added.
  2. Choose Add Penetration Testing Tool from the page-level action menu.

  3. Enter a name for the penetration testing tool and click Save.
