Project Requirements
Jtest supports the following minimum versions:
| Component | Supported Versions |
|---|---|
| Java source level | 1.8 or greater |
| Lombok | 1.18.36 or greater |
If a project is configured with a source level of Java 1.5–1.7, Jtest analyzes it as a Java 1.8 project.
IDE Integration
Parasoft Jtest can analyze locally buildable projects in your IDE (multi-module projects must be built before analysis). This section describes the requirements to import and work with findings in an IDE. To perform code analysis, ensure that your system meets the minimum system requirements.
Supported IDEs
Performing code analysis in IntelliJ IDEA requires the following IntelliJ bundled plugins to be enabled: Maven, Gradle, Coverage.
1 One of the following Eclipse distributions is required:
- Eclipse IDE for Eclipse Committers
- Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java and Web Developers
- Eclipse IDE for Java Developers
Support for Eclipse versions 4.27-4.30 is deprecated and will be removed in a future release.
2 This user guide only covers installation details; see Extension for Visual Studio Code. For information about supported features and usage, see the extension documentation in Visual Studio Code.
Java Requirements
Jtest requires the following Java versions to be installed on your machine:
| Use case | Required Java version |
|---|---|
| Running in an IDE | Java 11 or greater |
| Build system integration | Java 1.8 or greater |
Using jtestcov | Java 17 or greater |
Both OpenJDK and Oracle Java SE are supported. Other free and open source implementations may cause issues with the proper functioning of Jtest.
For information regarding coverage collection using jtestcov, see Application Coverage.
Unit Test Assistant Requirements
See UTA Requirements for the frameworks and IDEs supported by Unit Test Assistant.
DTP Integration
If you connect your Jtest instance to DTP, ensure that the DTP version you're connecting to supports your Jtest version. See Parasoft Product Cross-compatibility.
Additional Integrations
See Integrations for supported versions of common integrations.
IP Address Formats
IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.
