The Tool Licenses screen shows the license tokens currently available and consumed by connected tools. You can add or remove licenses, as well as view details about the licenses currently installed.
Adding Licenses
Licenses can be added from the Tool Licenses screen. You will need a valid license password string to add a license. If you do not have one, you can request it from your Parasoft representative directly or request it electronically (see Request License link for more information).
To add a license:
- Open the License Server home page.
- Choose Licenses > Tool Licenses and click Add License. The Add License dialog opens.
- Copy the license password string sent to you by your Parasoft representative into the field provided.
- Click Add when finished.
Adding a Descriptive Tag to a License
You can add a descriptive tag to a license, making it easier to identify from the Tool Licenses page. To add a descriptive tag, click the pencil icon next to the tool name and enter the desired descriptive text in the dialog that appears.
Requesting a License
To request a license, you can either contact your Parasoft representative directly or submit the request electronically via email to [email protected] or through your Customer Portal. When making the request, you will need to provide some specific information. Click the Request a new license link at the top of the page to create a template of the information you need to provide, including your Machine ID, which will be automatically filled in for you. Copy this template and provide the missing information so that your request can be processed as quickly as possible.
Removing Licenses
Click on the trash icon and confirm that you want to remove the license when prompted.
