So far, every test has passed as long as an HTTP 200 response is received, regardless of what the message response contains. In other test cases it will be important to define the success criteria for the response in order to allow the tests to run automatically as a batch, validate messages automatically, and eliminate the need to manually inspect the traffic. A built in Regression Control will do this automatically for you.
- Right-click the Test Suite: getItemByTitle Positive Test node and choose Create/Update Regression Control from the shortcut menu.
- Choose Create Internal Regression Control and click Finish.
- Double-click the generated Response SOAP Envelope > Diff control generated on <your generation time>. In the Regression Control tab, notice that the contents of the editor match those found in the Traffic Object-> Traffic Viewer’s Response tab.
