Starting with DTP 2021.1, two license types are available to users: the default v1 licenses and newer v2 licenses. The v1 license enables License Server to serve tokens to all Parasoft tools and is the default license mode. Using v1 licenses is described on the License Server Usage page. Users running 2021.1 or later can take advantage of v2 licenses. Their usage is described below.

Enabling v2 Licenses

To enable v2 licenses for DTP, modify the <DTP_INSTALLDIR>/bin/variables file by adding the line below appropriate for your OS.

Linux

JAVA_CONFIG_ARGS=-Dparasoft.use.license.v2=true

Windows

DTP_JAVA_OPTS=-Dparasoft.use.license.v2=true

Server License

Users with a v2 license can either connect to a remote instance of License Server to obtain a license or use a local license file. Either can added from the Configuration tab on the License Server screen.

  2. Click Browse and navigate to the license file sent to you by your Parasoft representative.
