  1. Ensure that DTP is enabled and properly configured; see Connecting to DTP. Connecting to DTP automatically configures your network license.
  2. Click Parasoft in the menu bar and choose Preferences (Eclipse), Options (NetBeans) or Settings (IntelliJ).

  3. Select License.
  4. Ensure that the Network option is enabled.


       
  5. (optional) Enable the Borrow option and specify how long you need to "borrow" the license, i.e. use it when you will not have access to DTP (for example, because you expect to be working from home or traveling). Licenses can be  borrowed from 1 hour to 14 days.
  6. Select the license edition you want to use form from the Edition drop-down menu.
  7. Click Apply.

  1. Go to Parasoft> Preferences (Eclipse), Options (NetBeans) or Settings (IntelliJ)> License.

  2. Click the Advanced button.
  3. Enable the Use an alternative License Server option in the popup dialog that opens.



  4. Configure the connection:
    → Standalone License Server: To use a license from a standalone License Server, specify its hostname and port (authentication is not required).

    If your server uses the HTTPS protocol, precede the hostname with https://.

    → DTP: To a use a license from another DTP:
               a) specify its hostname and port
               b) enable the Use authentication option
               c) provide the username and password

  5. Click OK in the dialog box.
  6. Click Apply in the main License page.
