- Open the Test Case Explorer and right-click on a test suite
- Choose Add New> Test Case using Editor…
- When prompted, enter test case name and click OK; an empty Test Case Editor opens
- Choose a function from the Create test case for drop-down list.
- Click one of the (+) buttons to open a default test case for the selected function:
Create new test case ()case - creates a new test case for the selected function
Create new parameterized test case ()case - creates a new parameterized test case for the selected function; you can parameterize the test case with values obtained form a data source table built into the test case or from an external data source (see Using Data Sources to Parameterize Test Cases). - Review and modify input values (Variables) and expected output values (Assertions); see Default Test Case, for more information on the structure of the default test case
- Save the test case to add it to the test suite
