General Settings

We recommend configuring the following "Tools> Internet Options" settings for optimal recording and playback performance on Internet Explorer:

Advanced Options

1. Click the Advanced tab and locate the Browsing settings.
2. Enable the

1. option. This setting is required.
2. Locate the Security options and enable the

1. Enable Enhanced Protected Mode

1.  option. This setting is required for IE 10 and later

1. . Restart is required for this setting to take effect.
2. Click OK.

Security Options

1. Click the Security tab and choose a zone (Internet, Local intranet, Trusted sites, Restricted sites).
2. Disable the Enable Protected Mode option. This setting should always be disabled.
3. Disable the option for all other zones and click OK

The following settings apply to all zones except for Restricted sites:

1. Choose any zone (except for Restricted sites) and click Custom level . . . 
2. Locate the Scripting section and enable the Active scripting option. This setting should always be enabled.
3. Enable this option for the other zones except for Restricted sites and click OK.

The following settings apply to the Local intranet zone and may not be required in all cases:

1. Choose Local intranet and click Sites.
2. Disable the Automatically detect intranet network option.
3. Enable the following options and click OK:
   1. Include all local (intranet) sites not listed in other zones 
   2. Include all sites that bypass the proxy server 
   3. Include all network paths (UNCs)
