Information about how the DTP Plugin functions, such as reporting behaviors, source control connections, etc., is read from a .properties configuration file associated with the connected DTP Engine. To modify behavior, you can modify the configuration file or create custom .properties files. For details,  see Automation User Guide.

In addition to the configurations set in the .properties file, you can add additional instructions through the DTP Plugin interface, as well as share .properties files (see Exporting and Importing Settings).

To add additional properties:

  1. Click Parasoft in the menu bar and choose

    Preferences (Eclipse), Options (NetBeans) or Settings (IntelliJ)

    to open the general settings dialog.

  2. Click the edit link.

  3. Enter the properties you want to set; see Settings Reference in Automation User Guide table for details about available settings.

  4. Click OK to finish adding your properties.
