Parasoft DTP integrates with multiple Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) external systems. These systems manage requirements and tests definitions. The following systems are supported:
Parasoft DTP integration with these systems enhances their functionality by providing traceability to automated test run results executed by Parasoft tools, includingApplication lifecycle management (ALM) software manages development and testing artifacts, such as requirements, tasks, and defects. DTP integrates with several ALM systems, which enables a range of functionality, such as:
- Ability to manually create work items (bugs, tasks, issues, defects, etc.and so on) from the the Violations Explorer (see item 1 in the diagram below).
- Ability to manually create work items (bugs, tasks, issues, defects, etc.and so on) from the the Test Explorer (see item 1 in the diagram below).
- Ability to send, view, and update Parasoft test results in ALM work items (see item 2 in the diagram below).
- Traceability from ALM work items to tests , and static analysis results , and code reviews.
A separate license is required for each system integration. Contact your Parasoft representative for licensing details.
The following systems are supported:
- in Parasoft DTP (see item 3 in the diagram below).
The diagram below illustrates how DTP integrates with external systems, particularly items 1 - 3, which correspond to bullet points above as noted. Item 4 relates to the Parasoft testing tool you are using (like SOAtest or C/C++test) and is included here for added clarity. While Codebeamer is used as an example in this diagram, the way DTP integrates with each of these systems is the same.
