Configuring a login policy enables you to control how DTPUser Administration responds how DTP responds to failed login attempts. 

To access the Login Policy configuration screen, choose User Administration from the settings (gear icon) menu and click Login Policy in the Settings sidebar.

EnabledThis option enables/disables the login policy.
Maximum login failuresThis setting determines the number of failed login attempts a user can make with the timeframe specified in the Failure persistence duration setting before being locked out.
Failure persistence duration (seconds)

This settings setting determines the timeframe in which a user can unsuccessfully attempt to login per the before being locked out. The number of times specified in the Maximum login failures setting the user can attempt to login during this timeframe before being locked out is determined by the Maximum login failures setting. The time frame timeframe applies to after the last failed attempt before reaching the maximum login failures limit.

For example, if the Maximum login failures setting is configured to 5 and the Failure persistence duration setting is configured to 30, then users can unsuccessfully attempt to log in four times within 30 seconds without being locked out. They can wait 30 seconds after their fourth unsuccessful attempt and try to log in again without being locked out if the fifth attempt is unsuccessful.

Lockout duration (seconds)This setting specifies how long a user must wait before a lock lockout automatically expires.
