Viewing the events generated when messages flow through a deployed message proxy helps you understand what traffic the application under test is sending through the message proxy. For details on how to monitor events, see Gaining Visibility into Server Events and Reviewing Message Proxy Events

After a message proxy has been configured and enabled, you can use it to monitor traffic between your client and AUT.

  1. Configure your client to point to the message proxy. If you are configuring a REST Client, for example, enter the incoming Proxy URL into the URL field under the Resource tab.

  2. Click the Start Monitoring button in the proxy's configuration tab or right-click the proxy in the SOAtest Server view and choose Start Monitoring
  3. Execute the scenario
  4. Stop recording by clicking the Stop Monitoring button n the proxy's configuration tab or by right-click the proxy in the server view and choosing Stop Monitoring.
  5. Open the Parasoft Event Details perspective to access the proxy monitoring logs.
  6. Choose your log from the History drop-down menu to view details of the interactions passed through the proxy.
