  1. Make sure there is enough time for the browser and first page to completely load. To do this, check that Parasoft> Preferences> Parasoft> Browser> Browser Timeout Settings> Startup Timeout is set to a large enough time period. This is particularly relevant on slow computers and with sites that take a long time to initially load.

  2. If the page did not load, ensure that the SOAtest and/or Virtualize proxy settings are configured correctly and verify that there are no lingering instances of Internet Explorer running. Instances of Internet Explorer left over from previous browser testing sessions can interact with new instances, potentially causing conflict.

  3. If the issue only occurs after recording a scenario, try recording the scenario without creating SOAtest's Test Maintainability report. Close SOAtest completely and try recording a new scenario with Generate test maintainability report disabled. Displaying the maintainability report has been known to cause this error on some machines when recording and laying back scenarios in Internet Explorer.

  4. Check if the issue only reproduces after opening the help documentation browser. If so, you can work around this behavior by changing the Window> Preferences> General> Web Browser setting to Use external browser, then choosing a browser other than Default system web browser or Internet Explorer (e.g., choose Firefox). You may need to add another browser to the list.
